From Michael: When we lost songwriting icon John Prine in mid-2020, it was a blow to an already challenging - to say the least - year. I wanted to write a Prine-style tune that was whimsical, with some distinct imagery, and that would also be hopeful.

I ended up with this recorded-in-place project with all the players performing their parts in their home studios, eventually finishing it up with my producer Henry Chadwick at his Ben Lomond studio.

We ended up with a timely song that, while it recaps 2020, is really an optimistic look at the year ahead of us. Thanks for listening to this tune.
